Starting point: A test without a client

The Cranger Kirmes in Herne is a large funfair in the Ruhr area. Posevo went there without a client, as a stress test. Posevo wanted to see how audience, technology and operator work together in a very dense crowd. In the evening, under artificial light and on uneven ground.

Deployment: Small radius, operator close by

EVO wore Posevo wrap, without any other logos. The operator worked closer to the robot than at a regular deployment. The range of movement was deliberately small and there were fewer show moves.

On the floor: One evening in the crowd

EVO spent an evening among the crowd. According to Posevo, the audience reacted more strongly than at previous deployments.

In this crush, space to move was the limiting factor. Posevo has used what it saw here in every plan since.

Lesson

With very large crowds, the operator stays closer to the robot. The robot then has less space, and Posevo now plans for that in advance.
