Common questions about hiring a robot

The questions Posevo is asked most often, in eleven topics, each with a short answer.

Rental

  • Three robots: the humanoids Unitree G1 · EVO and Unitree R1, and the robot dog Unitree Go2 Pro. All three can be booked now. The Unitree H2 and the 1X Neo have been ordered but cannot be rented yet.

  • Yes. EVO with R1 costs €3,800 per day and EVO with Go2 Pro €3,600, excl. VAT. You then get two operators and both robots work at the same time. The Go2 Pro can also be added to a single humanoid robot for €750. One operator then controls them in turn. All three together is arranged on request.

  • The date, location and type of event are enough to start with. It also helps to know how many hours the robot needs to be active. Branding, languages and the expected number of visitors are optional. Only your name and an email address or phone number are required.

  • Within 24 hours, with availability and a price estimate including travel costs. If you leave a phone number, Posevo usually calls the same day. There is no call centre or ticket system: you speak to someone from Posevo directly.

  • If there is space in the schedule, a booking can take place the next day. A shirt or chest plate as branding is also possible then. Planning without time pressure is possible from about three weeks ahead. For guaranteed branding, Posevo needs all details 15 working days before the date.

Pricing

  • The Unitree Go2 Pro costs from €1,400 and the Unitree R1 from €1,900. Unitree G1 · EVO costs from €2,400. That is per event day of up to eight hours on site, excl. VAT. The operator is always included.

  • The robot, an operator, setup and teardown, battery management with spare batteries and five prepared speech sequences. Not included are travel costs, expenses, an overnight stay, branding and extras. These appear as separate items in the quote.

  • Travel costs for a Posevo robot depend on the distance to your venue. Posevo sets off from Gelsenkirchen in western Germany, close to the Dutch border. They appear as a separate item in the quote, as do any expenses for the operator. An overnight stay is only added for a long journey or a booking over several days.

  • No, a Posevo robot does not run for eight hours straight. The day rate covers up to eight hours on site. Charging, battery swaps, safety checks and breaks are part of it. The operator schedules the breaks during the quieter hours.

  • After the event. You then receive the invoice and pay within 14 days, without deduction. There is no advance payment and no deposit.

  • Cancelling more than three months in advance costs 25% of the net base fee. Between three months and one month in advance it is 50%, after that 100%. Travel and accommodation costs that have not yet been incurred are not charged.

  • With the Go2 Pro added for €750, one operator controls both robots in turn. With the EVO and Go2 Pro combination for €3,600, two operators come and both robots work at the same time. Which fits depends on your floor space and whether you want to reach two groups at once.

Robots

  • No, Posevo robots do not hand out products or flyers: EVO and the R1 cannot grip or hold anything, and the Go2 Pro has no arms. For sampling, a promoter joins. Handshakes, high fives, waving and posing are possible.

  • EVO is built on the Unitree G1. The hardware comes from Unitree. The posture, movements, voice, chest plate and way of greeting come from Posevo.

  • The R1 can move its head: it turns towards people and nods. With two degrees of freedom in the waist, its dance and show moves have a wider range. An R1 battery does not last as long: about one hour, against two for EVO.

  • Yes, the Unitree Go2 Pro. On its own it costs from €1,400 per day, with its own operator. With a humanoid robot it costs €750 extra. The same operator then controls both in turn.

  • No. The Go2 Pro does not talk like a humanoid and has no arms. It walks, avoids obstacles and can walk alongside a promoter with ISS 2.0 Side-Follow. If you want speech, choose EVO or R1, or combine one of them with the dog.

  • For EVO about 2 hours, for the R1 about 1 hour. For the Go2 Pro it is 1 to 2 hours. Posevo brings spare batteries and swaps them at planned times. This lets the robot be used for up to eight hours a day.

Operator

  • Every Posevo robot comes with an operator, always and at no extra cost. The operator controls the robot and stays close to it, so they can stop it immediately. The operator also talks to visitors and sends them on to your team. Posevo does not rent out robots without an operator.

  • No. A Posevo operator controls the robot throughout the booking. The operator decides where the robot walks, whom it approaches and when it takes a break. The robot never walks autonomously through a crowd.

  • With the EVO and R1 or EVO and Go2 Pro combinations, two operators come. Both robots then work at the same time. With the Go2 Pro add-on, one operator controls both robots in turn.

Safety

  • Yes, supervised by the operator, who stays close enough to stop the robot immediately. With children, the operator pays extra attention to the distance from the moving joints.

  • Posevo has business liability insurance and electronics insurance. You can get proof with the amounts of cover on request, before you sign. Posevo names Germany as the area of cover. Ask Posevo whether the cover also applies in the Netherlands.

  • Posevo brings more batteries than needed, and a spare controller and power bank. If an operator drops out, a second one takes over. A reserve robot is kept in Gelsenkirchen; whether it arrives in time depends on the distance. A second robot on site as a backup is possible at extra cost.

Transport and setup

  • Posevo brings the robots itself. Setup and a technical check take about an hour before the first visitor. After the event the team packs up and takes the robots away. You do not need your own technician.

  • A standard socket nearby, for recharging. During the booking the robot runs on battery. Internet is only needed for the AI voicebot. If there is no Wi-Fi, Posevo brings mobile internet.

  • In Gelsenkirchen, in western Germany (NRW), close to the Dutch border. The team travels with the robots to your event. Posevo handles preparation, setup, operation and teardown itself.

  • Yes. Folded, EVO measures 69 cm and weighs approx. 35 kg. It fits through standard doors, into a lift and into an estate car. So it can also go to a shop on an upper floor.

Branding

  • A printed T-shirt or polo shirt, a 3D chest plate in your corporate colours, or a wrap. The wrap goes on the torso, arms and legs. The chest plate can also carry a QR code. Polo shirt, chest plate and logo wrap together is a standard order. Everything comes off again without leaving residue.

  • No later than 15 working days before the date: logos as vector files, colours in HKS or Pantone and your brand guidelines. A shirt is quickest; a chest plate and wrap need more time. You can supply it later, but then Posevo cannot guarantee it.

  • Only if you want that. EVO Original is Posevo’s standard version. The EVO Brand Edition wears your colours, your logo and, if you like, a QR code. Posture and greeting remain EVO’s.

  • Yes. Five speech sequences are included, for example a greeting, stand information, a product message and a call to action. More texts or a custom voice are available at extra cost. You agree the languages in advance.

Languages

  • Yes, with texts you prepare in English with Posevo in advance. Five speech sequences are included. The Go2 Pro does not talk. Your contacts at Posevo speak German and English.

  • Yes, with texts prepared in advance, for example in Dutch, English, German or French. State in your enquiry which languages your audience speaks.

  • By default it plays prepared texts. With the AI voicebot, EVO answers questions freely, based on your product information. A visible notice on site then tells visitors they are talking to an AI system. There is no facial recognition.

Trade show stand

  • That is up to the trade show organiser. Many shows only allow activities outside the stand with permission, so agree it with the organiser in advance. On the stand itself, the robot works best at the edge, by the aisle. The dimensions, weight and battery life of each robot are on its robot page.

  • About 2 × 2 m of flat, firm floor and a standard socket nearby. More space helps for show moments. On a trade show stand the robot works best at the edge, by the aisle. Folded, EVO fits through standard doors and into a lift.

  • Yes. Carpet, screed and hall floors are no problem. For very deep-pile carpet, Posevo adjusts the movement programme in advance.

  • Posevo does not promise numbers. The robot gives visitors a reason to stop. Whether that turns into a lead depends on your offer, your stand and your team. What Posevo plans with you is the handover from visitor to stand team.

  • Usually EVO. A battery lasts about two hours and Posevo plans the swaps in advance. The R1 lasts one hour per battery and needs more spare batteries. For set show moments on the stand, the R1 is an option.

Outdoors

  • Yes, on paving slabs, concrete, asphalt and brick paving. In rain, cover is needed, such as a pavilion or tent. The Go2 Pro climbs steps up to 16 cm and slopes up to 40°. EVO and R1 need a flatter surface. Discuss gratings or a steep slope in advance.

  • Yes. The Go2 Pro climbs steps up to about 16 cm and slopes up to 40°. So it can handle kerbs, slopes and small stages. In rain it also needs cover.

  • Tiles, concrete, screed, laminate, carpet, asphalt and brick paving. EVO and R1 need a flat, firm floor. For very deep-pile carpet, gratings or a steep slope, check with Posevo in advance.

Multi-day events

  • Yes, from one day to a whole trade show week. For 2 days you get 10% off the day rate, from 3 days up to 15%. Travel costs and overnight stays are not discounted. For roadshows and recurring projects, Posevo makes separate arrangements.

  • For a long journey or a booking over several days. Outside North Rhine-Westphalia, Posevo plans to arrive the day before, with an overnight stay. The overnight stay appears as a separate item in the quote.

  • Posevo makes separate arrangements for these, with fixed terms and reserved dates. On a tour, the robot visits 1 or 2 locations per day.
